Differences between GLC-TE,GLC-T and SFP-GE-T
1000BASE-T SFP for copper networks
The GLC-TE works in Extended temperature range (-5 to 85℃), GLC-T works in commercial temperature range (0 to 70℃) , usually non-extended temperature range SFPs are intended to be used in a data center, Connection between switch and NIC. The 1000BASE-T SFP operates on standard Category 5 unshielded twisted-pair copper cabling of link lengths up to 100 m (328 ft).
Cisco GLC-TE GLC-T SFP-GE-T SFP modules support 10/100/1000 auto negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, the GLC-T and SFP-GE-T has been announced EoL in 2017, The GLC-TE is the replacement.
What’s the difference between them, Operating Temperature Range:
GLC-TE: (EXT): -5 to 85℃
SFP-GE-T: (EXT): -5 to 85℃
GLC-T: (COM): 0 to 70℃
